We have an RMON digital probe connected into our platforms to monitor data packets from source to destination. This allows our engineers to look at where problems occur outside our servers and the PSTN via the SIP trunks. By having this insight into the voice packets we can prove to other providers where a fault exists, valuable information to get things fixed quickly.
We also use BT approved diagnostic equipment to prove to providers they have a problem on site. We often find ISPs do not supply their published speeds, our tests confirm true line speeds (not an average as most apps provide).
